Wild Pear Cafe in Dural has been my go-to for breakfast every so often and I’ve always said we’ll book ourselves in for lunch at some point. So here we are returning once again, this time to enjoy their delicious lunch menu.
One of my highlights each time we visit, is Wild Pear Cafe’s outdoor dining. On a sunny weekend afternoon, you have the option of either indoor or outdoor seating – pending if they’re not already at capacity. That view over the nursery is such a peaceful respite and gives you that little bit of greenery for a view, so why wouldn’t you want to sit on their undercover deck? I’ve personally found it feels a little more quieter on the deck too, rather than indoors.
Our orders are taken promptly and service was very quick over the weekend. The trick for us (and the trick for you) is to arrive before rush i.e. before midday if you can, if you’re planning to dine for lunch. Otherwise, be prepared for a slight wait for both the food and a table. The weekends are usually busy for the team here, but do know, you won’t be disappointed. Parking is available right in front and also at the rear of the nursery.
For lunch we chose the Pan Fried Snapper (AU$30.90) with herbed caper butter, sweet pea puree, goats cheese, smoked macadamias, butter beans and roasted kipflers.
And, the grilled Atlantic Salmon (AU$28.90) with apple & kohlrabi slaw, miso mayo, toasted sesame seeds and roasted chat potato.
The food portions are of generous servings with excellent flavours throughout and the presentation is to that of restaurant quality. Whilst the lunch menu is slightly on the pricey side, overall you are served delicious food in a relaxing and cosy atmosphere.
