Hamptons style luxury getaway, just a 40-minute drive from Brisbane city
Within close proximity of Samford Village and less than a 40-minute drive from Brisbane city, this mountain getaway is one that you will absolutely love the moment you arrive. Expect an uninterrupted stay with privacy feels throughout and a separate parking area from the hosts’ main house.
The views from your front doorstep are just as they’re pictured; rolling green hills, surrounded by sheer silence, and nature at its very best – very dreamy and picture perfect.
Only a few years young (built in 2018), your cabin has near new furnishings throughout. It’s situated near the main residence, yet far enough away that you’re not peering into each other’s windows. The only time you may cross paths with the hosts, is during pool usage as this adjoins the main house.
The pool area is phenomenal, I can’t really describe it. The views are simply dreamy and we spent most of our time here during the days. It isn’t adjoining your actual cabin, but less than a minute’s walk – with a slight incline – to the main house. There’s also an expansive outdoor deck nearby available, featuring a BBQ and entertaining area for your use.
The loft and cabin decor gives you luxe feels throughout, and the kitchen is compact in design, yet fully-equipped with all your cooking needs; microwave, full-size fridge, induction stove & oven, a Nespresso pod machine, and cooking essentials.
The sleeping area is of a true loft design, however there are steep steps leading from the kitchen and once at the top, the floor to ceiling height is about 160cm in this upper level (my height that is). Something to be mindful of if you’re tall, but not to discourage when you’re only really sleeping in this space of an evening. There’s one tv in your cabin, and this can be found in the upper level too.
The bathroom also continues the luxe theme – Leif-branded bath products and the fluffy towels that you’re always seeking at stays like this.
There’s a lot to say about this stay that we loved – the hosts created a stunning place to just relax and know how to manage an Airbnb stay. If you’re lucky to get a good run of weather – which we were – you know you’re in for the long haul and won’t have any plans of leaving during your stay.
Tips:
- Bring your swimmers – it’s an absolute must
- Pack some afternoon snacks – cheeses, crackers, crisps, dips, fruits etc. A picnic basket and rug is provided in the cabin, and there’s plenty of spots around the grounds to simply unwind
- A deluxe BBQ and entertainment area is also available for use
- Bring an eye mask if you wake easily with sunlight, as the cabin gets filled with light of a morning even if the curtains are drawn
- The perfect R&R is not to leave. Haha. So pack enough food and drinks to fill the fridge, because it’s well worth enjoying the stay as much as you can! Food delivery services don’t service the area much, but if needed, there are places within a 15-20 minute drive.
- Oh, and bring a good book too
I loved our mini getaway from Sydney, it was exactly what we were looking for to simply recharge. I’d highly recommend staying at this cabin, and Michelle (our host) was great with communication – very prompt and responsive each time.
