When staying in Melbourne, the Intercontinental Melbourne The Rialto is in a great location – at the heart of Melbourne’s CBD on Collins Street and less than a 15-minute walk to the Crowne Casino and Entertainment Complex. There’s also a tram stop right around the corner from the hotel if you prefer to take public transport. Melbourne is a walking city, easy to navigate and lots to see and do.
If you’re taking the Skybus Supershuttle from Melbourne Airport, the drop-off point at Southern Cross Station (Spencer Street) is less than a 10-minute walk to the hotel.
What can I say about the Intercontinental? The front desk and overall atmosphere is welcoming. The concierge is friendly and always willing to help. There’s also an indoor swimming pool and gym on-site if you’re looking to use these facilities during your trip.
I stayed in a Deluxe Room which was spacious inside; modern decor throughout and the bed was very comfortable and soft – easy to fall asleep in. The bathroom had plenty of room to move about in and all the basic needs for a few nights’ stay. The main walkways for each of the room floors face inwards onto the ground level of the hotel, with natural light shining through the glass roof – showcasing the interior atrium building design. I love this feature.
All in all, it’s a good hotel in a great location.
