Stop looking and be wow’ed by the magic of The Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore hotel. Panoramic city views, top-notch service.. a stay here that you surely won’t regret.
This hotel is centrally located within Marina Bay and walking distance to many local attractions. Being completely honest, we were deciding between the famed Marina Bay Sands Singapore hotel or The Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore and I am so glad we chose to stay here. Reading through online reviews, if you’re after a luxurious hotel stay, The Ritz-Carlton offers exceptional service and more.
Less than a 10-minute walk apart, we visited the Marina Bay Sands Singapore hotel and when we first walked past the entrance located within the shopping centre, the queue that wrapped around the initial check-in area was not what we expected for a well-talked about hotel. We also dined at their Ce La Vi rooftop restaurant which adjoins the swimming area of this hotel and it was filled with tourists, so much so I’d be frustrated if I was a staying guest.
That said, we opted for The Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore and what a brilliant choice, no regrets. The grandeur feeling when you first enter the hotel’s glass double-doors, the artwork on display in the lobby felt like a private gallery, and the modern gold and marble finishes throughout, all call out 5-star luxury.. oh and let’s not forget about their service.
The staff here are always present, noticing every little detail and assisting when you think you don’t need assistance – yet these kind gestures actually go a long way. This was a true highlight for us during our stay, we often commented when something so small had happened and then team here were always willing to help.
We stayed in a Grand Marina room and wowsers. Luxe, luxe, luxe all around. That view in the morning and of an evening is absolutely spectacular and one I will not forget.
Our room was 51sqm in size, which felt fairly large and generous for a hotel stay, featuring both a king-sized bed in addition to a relaxing, over-sized plush day bed.
There was ample space all around, and the large floor to ceiling windows provided plenty of natural light at all hours of the day. There was the added option of dual-motorised sheer or complete blockout blinds too.
The room also had a spacious walk-in wardrobe, and a study desk with built-in international adaptor sockets and ports.
In the bedside table drawers, there was built-in lighting controls which was great as you didn’t need to roll out of bed to turn these on and off all the time.
The bathroom had striking views over Marina Bay through their signature octagon windows, and marble finishes throughout. It also featured a large rain shower overhead and a separate bathtub.
As some of you may know, spending time outdoors in Singapore can get a little hot during the day, so we thoroughly enjoyed taking an afternoon siesta in our room, or used their outdoor 25-metre lap pool and fitness centre before heading out again of an evening.
Now if there’s anything you must try, it’s the breakfast at Colony. Oh my gosh. Make sure you have room – that is, wear your stretchy pants or loose dress – because far out, The Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore buffet breakfast felt like an endless feast. In the time that we stayed, I still don’t think we tried everything available each morning.
Expect an array of dishes to choose from including local, Chinese, Indian, Indonesian, Malaysian and Western options throughout.
What I loved about this stay was that it was very peaceful and it felt like a true, 5-star hotel experience throughout.
Its location is in the heart of Marina Bay; an easy walk to Garden By the Bay, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, ArtScience Museum, Sands SkyPark Observation Deck, Singapore Flyer and Millenia Walk shopping centre to name a few.
The service here is what you’d expect at a luxury hotel and whilst it is priced slightly higher than other 5-star Singapore hotels, I assure you, you won’t be disappointed at the overall experience you will have at The Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore.
